'Hopelessly Devoted' to crafting!

Good morning mi lovlies, hope you are all well. I have posted this earlier than I should cos all being well I should be at the Hospital with my daughter. She has an endoscopy booked for first thing if all goes according to plan as it didn't last week.

The doctor rang us to say he had booked her the endoscopy for the 28th January.  We waited for confirmation through the post and when it didn't arrive I rang the week before to see what was happening. I spoke to appointments, oh yes she was booked in for 10:30  and they would re-send the paperwork as if they had already, and it had been lost in the post AGAIN......not!!

My daughter booked the day off work and I cancelled my plans to drive her to and from the appointment.

Well papers arrived on the Saturday as she was due to go on the Monday morning and as she is Diabetic we needed to know what time she had to start fasting and how much Insulin she needed to take etc......and of course there was a form to fill in with relevant details.
My daughter got out the form to sign etc before we set off on the Monday morning and  OMG!!!!!!
the date on the form said 4th February 8:15
Nothing like the original appointment
I rang  immediately to be told she didn't have an appointment that morning it was next week and was I sure I had rung......... SCREAM!!!!
For God's Sake, she had fasted for hours only taken half her Insulin as per instructions lost a days pay and had worked herself up into a frenzy in preparation for it.
Oh sorry said the nurse without the name of the person you spoke to there's nothing we can do.
Well the Doctor booked it, said I , will his name do.....
Well apparantely not.... cos he has no right to book these things without going through his Secretary!!!!!    And this has what to do with my daughter.......Does no-one care about what's been put in place for this appointment to happen..... Obviously not.... and why don't I calm down... she has one for next week..... UNBELIEVABLE!!!

So if we get there and there is no appointment, believe me I will commit murder.....
You will be reading about me in the Newspapers and I will be blogging from the pokey!!!!!
Fingers crossed........

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Songbird, and the theme for the next two weeks is

  3. What appalling nonsense Sue, your poor daughter having to put up with this. I too am diabetic and on insulin and know the importance of having to keep correct with medication, not to mention the psychological, impact of grating yourself up for a nasty, proceedure. I hope they get it sorted out for your daughter today.

Lovely card, Tilda is so cute, I keep saying I must get some of these stamps, not go around to it yet. But I love your design and colours are wonderful, Hope the day goes well, kate x

  25. Oh Sue that is just desperate, I hope your daughter was ok after all that and now has to go through the whole damn thing again. Its unbelievable. I just got booked in for my gallbladder opp which has taken me 3 years and would you believe I have a 3 hour journey to a southern hospital instead of a 5 min journey to my local hospital! We could both be in the papers next week lol. Love your gorgeous card, absolutely stunning.

So sorry to hear about the fart arsing around you and your daughter have had to go through. It really does make you wild!!!

I am supposed to be having an hernia removed. Went to my docs at the end of Oct. I have been in touch 3 times now & still do not have an appointment.
Last week a letter arrived (thank god the dog didn't get to it, lol. I thought great, my appointment at long last NOT.
It had my name & address. My NHS number but a different hospital number to mine. The letter only wanted me to go in and have my eyes done ! LOl
All jokes aside though, how bad was that!!
