Happy Times

Good morning all you lovely crafters and a big hello to my new followers, you are soooo welcome.

Still loving the sunshine, when I don't have to work of course, though we did have a wee shower last night, see what today brings.

Whilst chatting to a couple of my customers yesterday we ended up in absolute fits of laughter recalling things that had happened when we were younger.
One thing I remembered was when my mum decided to cut my sisters hair. She got a bowl out of the kitchen, it was white with two blue stripes around it, everyone seemed to have one, do you remember them?  She put it on her head and started to cut around the back, OK...... so far....... then she began cutting the sides, only the bowl must have moved cos one side was longer than the other, so the bowl went back on and she cut some off the longer side, mmmmm, the back looked a bit wonky, back the bowl went, snip snip, OMG, no hair later, it was sort of finished. I wanted to laugh my head off but daren't cos I was getting ready to run..... I sure as heck didn't want to be next!!!!!
Now I wouldn't have gone to school but off she went and the funniest thing was when she brought a friend home at tea time to ask mum if she'd cut her hair the same......hilarious.... don't know if she'd bribed her or what... but she must have been off her rocker.....
I wonder what happened to the bowl?
Happy days.

Sun and Tilda's.... ahh heaven.

Hello all you lovely crafters and a special hi to my new followers, so pleased you joined me.
Hope you're all enjoying this wonderful sunshine (it's sure long overdue)

Could have done with carrying my crafty things into the garden to work, but the only trouble with that is, by the time I'd carried out the items I wanted to work with and set up the table, the sun would have been long gone, so I decided to open all the windows instead.
Wonderful.... till next doors dog came out and barked and barked and barked, nay yapped........arghhhhhh  are they deaf!!!  Not once did I hear them try to quieten it down. Brings new meaning to  'barking mad' eh!! Must find out my earplugs. I have two dogs myself and they are sooo laid back.

Anyhow I did manage some crafting. I've used a couple of the things my daughter and I made with  the air dry clay, fab stuff. You gotta get some and of course the frantage, amazing stuff too.

A lovely little parcel arrived for me yesterday too with my new Tilda's, oooooh,  can't wait for a play!!!

Good morning all you lovely crafters, hope you are all well.

I've seen that quite a few of you have started jetting off to warmer climates for your much awaited hols and I'm sooo jealous. As things are at the mo with appointments etc we can't really book anything, so come on summer, hurry up and arrive and I won't feel as bad.!!

I'm Back

Good morning all you lovely crafters. It's been a while since I've posted anything on my blog as those of you who visit me will have seen. I've had my daughter in hospital and life has been turned on it's head. I won't bore you but it's gonna be a while before things settle if they ever will and I've not felt like blogging much nor had the inclination to  craft. Still a huge thanks to those of you who have continued to visit.

I hope you all have a little sunshine wherever you are for the bank hols, it sure makes us feel better to see it and it's been hiding for quite some time now.

I've bought some of the new air dry clay and moulds too and my daughter and myself were up nearly all night playing with it, it's fabby stuff and I love the little embellishments you can make with it.
We made a bag full. So you will probs see some of them on new cards to come.

I do have a card that I made for a challenge but unfortunately didn't get the chance to post it so decided to slap it on anyway so to speak.

Yes, it's another Tilda. I lurrv these sweeties, and watch them come alive as you start to colour them in. I've just spotted the new Ribbon Girls challenge to add sparkle and seeing as though I've overdosed on the new frontage (amazing stuff) she sure does sparkle so she's heading over there.

Don't Be Square.

Good morning all, hope you are all well and enjoying some sunshine.
Hubby managed to mow the lawns and tidy the gardens a little and it's looking so much better.
It was amazing how many birds landed just after looking for food.
We have a couple of Blackbirds nesting in the Clematis over the garage and they were diving at a Magpie that had landed and chased it away, before returning to the nest. They sure didn't like him.

We have to sort out the pond this weekend, the water is so murky we can't see the fish but boy have we got plenty of frog spawn!! Think we'll need more than one bucket to put it into when we start to clean out the water. They say frogs return to the ponds they were spawned in, if that's true we're gonna have a frogging epidemic!!! Good job I like them eh.

Well this card should have been posted yesterday for the new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts
but everything seems to have gone wrong this week and time has passed me by.
The cat and both dogs have been poorly, I've had hospital appointments with my Daughter, had to wear a blood pressure monitor (which I'm sure must have been near explosion mode) and Hubby's birthday, phew.

The theme for this week, chosen by our lovely Laine is

Don' t Be Square-Use A Shaped Card

We have two fabulous sponsors this week so two prizes up for grabs so what are you waiting for.

Well the weather is still the topic of conversation here. We had really high winds Wednesday and Thursday. We woke up yesterday morning to see that the door to our Summer House had been completely blown off!! My poor hubby had to retrieve it and check out the damage. Raining Rubble!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and have had a fab weekend.

Don't trust the weatherman. We were promised a heat wave of sorts, well an increase in temperature at least and what did we get, plenty of rain and very high winds.
When is 'Spring' coming or are we just jumping forward to Autumn!!

My next door neighbour lost some of her render at the back of the house so she's had a firm in to re-render. OMG .... I came home on Friday as they were taking the rest down and I nearly had a fit....
As it was being drilled off it was falling and bouncing off the roof of my Conservatory!!
They had put some padded sheeting up but it only covered a small area and the rest was uncovered and getting stoned. When I went round he was actually sat the Conservatory roof and couldn't understand why I was upset. What is wrong with people these days. My neighbour didn't even have the decency to come to me and apologise either and I'm sure she will have seen what was happening and heard me having words with the builders.
Whatever she needs to borrow next is definitely going to be unavailable!!

Well here's another Tilda just for a change. Now purple is a colour I don't seem to use much I don't know why, but a friend of mine gave me some purple feathers so I sort of built my card around it. Funny way of going about it I hear you say, yeah I had a chuckle myself too. I usually pick out the papers first. Love this new Tilda too she is such a cutie.

Recipe

Go Kreate - Frilly 4 card shape and Frilly 5
Magnolia - Tilda Longstockings coloured with distress markers, New York stamps.
Spellbinders - Floral  Ovals
Papers - LOTV Bonnets and Bowties and Promises

Pearls, lace, netting and feather from stash
Take care.

Here we go again.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. We have had a little sunshine, still quite cold and the snow hasn't disappeared altogether but it's going the right way and we have been promised some warmer weather by the weekend so have to wait and see.

A couple of weeks ago my eldest Daughter that works at the Hospital applied for another job, still within the Hospital, just in another department (Physio) as she was ready for a change. She didn't think she'd have a chance of it as there were so many applicants, but she was shortlisted for an interview and a couple of days later she received a phone call to say she had been successful and was offered the post. We were so pleased for her and it was sooo nice to have some good news. She starts at the end of April and the first thing she said was ' Yeah... no Christmas Day, no Boxing Day, no New Year's day......... Can't wait for Christmas!!!

Quite a few years ago we were broken into and our house was trashed and it was one of the worst feelings to come home to, as those of you that have experienced it will know. Well the person responsible is back in our area and today one of my clients told me her next door neighbour was broken into yesterday, too much of a coincidence and being as she only lives down the road from us it makes us feel very uneasy. I couldn't type what I'm thinking about him!!! Just hope he's caught very quickly and put away again. He needs his ruddy hands chopping off!!!

My card  is one I made a couple of months ago but didn't get round to posting but saw a challenge that said to use a background stamp so I thought it would be perfect. Again used one of my Tilda's that I've had a long time. See how good I'm being using my old stash..... ha ha.

Recipe

Magnolia Tilda, coloured with distress markers, stamped the bench and added the grasses, hanging leaves and the clouds.
Magnolia - fence, cloud and swirl dies and sentiment.
Go Kreate - frilly square 10
Papers -  First Edition I think but not sure which one.
Marianne - heart LR0159
Whimsy - corner die
Cheery Lynn - Exotic butterfly small and Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Pearls and charm - stash
Flowers - WOC and others.
Have a super day whatever you're doing.
Catch ya laters.
Hugs Sue X

Another one for the pot!!

Good morning all, hope the sun is shining where you are, it hasn't quite managed here yet but I'm hoping it will.
Yesterday was gorgeous, although cold, the sun shone all day, shame I was working!!

So the card I have today is for my Christmas Card Buddies.
I actually had this ready to post last Sunday cos I got mixed up with my weeks, an age thing I believe, soo I'm quite chuffed to be on time with this one (big grin on my chops)  and it's the lovely Sylvie's choice of Silver and one other colour, soo after I'd scratched my head a few times I went in search of some Silver, cos I don't use it and didn't know if I had any, but hey ho in one of the drawers that doesn't get opened much there it was.
In another drawer that doesn't get opened much I found the tree stamp and so my card was born.... so to speak.

Oooh I do love glitter on Christmas Cards!!!

Recipe

Cardstock and Silver had for a while from goodness knows where.
Tree stamp - Dimension Fourth, stamped in black and glittered with Jones Tones Holographic Silver,
inside stamped with grey and glittered.

LOTV - silver mesh and sentiment and tag.
Snowflake charm from stash, I know it's hard to see but it's on the front with the tag.
Marianne snowflake - CR1227
Diamantes - stash

Hope you all have a fab Sunday.
Hugs Sue X
