'Summer Fun'

Hi everyone, hope the sun is still shining for you all. I 've not blogged so much this week as I've not felt great and the crafting has taken a back seat. I have managed my DT cards so as today is Friday it's a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts It's the turn of our lovely Lisa to host and her chosen theme is

'Summer Fun'

Well, sort of dithered with this one cos I didn't know if I had anything to fit the bill. But looking in my stamps found this Magnolia background stamp that I had forgotten about and one of my older Tilda's and voila!! then added a few summery details and I kinda like the finished result.
I'd seen someone use the Frantage embossing powder as sand so added some and it really does the trick.

I remember a holiday when I was little doing just this, playing in the sand all day and gathering seashells, watching the sea disappear out of sight and the sun going down.
Oh to be young again and back on that beach with my mum!!

Only have a couple of pics cos naughty me didn't finish the inside in time so will add it later.

Recipe

Magnolia Tilda and background (not sure which collection from) coloured with distress inks. Added frantage for texture.
Papers by Brenda Pinnock and matted onto Bazzill Basics

Cottage cuts - Sea Weed Forest
Cheesecloth and netting - stash
Magnolia - Swirly butterfly
Martha Stewart - butterfly punch
Whimsy - tab 1 and sentiment by LOTV
Memories stamp - Kaiser craft, True Romance
Shells, stars etc from stash.
Pearls - Hobby Craft

My First Bestie

Good morning all. Well the sun is shining today thank goodness. I think all the rain we've been missing made it's way to us yesterday, OMG, did it bounce down!!

I took my girls out for their tea and we were sat at a lovely table in the Conservatory eating a fab carvery when the roof started leaking, straight down my arm, back and onto my handbag, thank god it missed my tea, I had to shuffle up into another seat so my tea wouldn't get water logged.
We had to wait inside till it eased a little then make a run for it, not easy when you've just had a huge plate of food lol!

Should have posted this yesterday but ran out of time. I was asked by the lovely Rina at Fashionista if I would be a GDT.  Thank You hunnie. They have a super challenge this month of

'Wings'

Their fab sponsor is Sherri Baldy the creator of Besties

I've seen these little cuties and have never used one so I was looking forward to choosing one to use and I just couldn't resist her.

'Sweet Mary Lou'

I haven't used my copics for a while so I felt a bit of a novice when I started colouring in and I had a bit of a gaffe as the ink started to move a little, grrrr. I did try printing onto water colour paper so I could use my distress inks but the ink ran on that too, grrr.
Well if you don't look too close you won't see the mistakes lols!

Recipe

Card shape - Go Kreate frilly 3, paper Dandelion and Daisy, Lovingly Yours.
Bestie - Sweet Mary Lou, coloured with copics cut out with Spellbinders Labels 29, added shabby white frantage

A perfect day.

Good morning all you lovely crafters, hope you all had a super hot weekend. I could really get used to this temperature, if only I could give up work......ahhh... dream on!!!

I went to visit a client yesterday morning at home as she's had a fall and can't get out and afterwards called on a friend I hadn't seen for a while and had a coffee with her and a catch up, it was lovely.

When I got home my daughter had decided it was too hot just to sit in the garden and would be much cooler in a paddling pool. So off she went to buy one and when I arrived she had filled it and was laid in it, complete with designer bikini , she's 22 lol... OMG, do they ever grow up, she's only  petite and it looked so funny. Her friend (ex boyfriend)  arrived then and they had a water fight, he, complete with clothes n all, it was lovely to hear them giggling and having fun.

We then ordered pizzas so no cooking for me either, why can't every day be like this one I ask myself!!
I even managed to get in some crafting too, perfect.
Think I overdid it with the embellies, once I start I can't stop. No CAS in this house lols.

Here Comes the Bride.

Hello all you lovely crafters hope you are all well. I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front for a while but I have managed to make a few cards in readiness. I'm gonna try and get round to you all this weekend and see what you're all up to.

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to all those of you who voted for my card over at Fashionista  It was so lovely to see so many of you take the time and how fab that I came joint first.

It's the time of year again when my dogs have to visit the vets for their boosters and check up etc so my daughter took them yesterday. She wasn't looking forward to it at all cos Roxy has been on heat and driving poor Digger insane and she didn't fancy them embarrassing her and the drive to the vets could have proved a bit tricky too, but he behaved,  phew. Now Digger is a real softie but he does love to bark at other dogs when he sees them so when she arrived there she did wonder if there would be other dogs in the waiting room... oh yes.... but did he bark as usual... oh no.... the other dog was a great dane... he took one look then turned round and walked in the other direction, hilarious.
