Sparkle, sparkle and more sparkle

Hi all, hope you're having a super weekend.

Well it's sure getting colder, even sorted out some thick tights and my boots!

 

Another busy week helping my poor overworked Hubby decorate my Daughter's house, oh I must be getting old, I woke up with so many aches and pains afterwards and it definitely tests your patience.

LHOSM, Autumn Colours.

Good morning and hello to all you lovely crafters, this feels like my very first post it's been so long since I've added a card I've nearly forgotten how to do it!! Seeing as it's a new computer too and I can't seem to remember which key does what I just hope something shows up!

 

I've been missing for quite a while as I had an op in June which didn't quite go to plan and I had to be re-admitted with a huge infection which took it's time to heal and left me for the first time in my life feeling weak, vulnerable and unable to work for weeks and as someone that's never ill or off work came as a BIG shock to the system. Even crafting didn't appeal to me. But the body is a wonderful thing is it not, and although it takes time, heals itself from within and hey presto I'm back.

 

 

Boy did it feel strange when I sat at my desk to make this card and you know that feeling of  'not really as good as I wanted it' well that's how I felt about this, think I'm rusty!

I suppose we are our own worst critics.

 

Today sees the beginning of a new challenge over at

Lots of Layers at LHOSM

Hi all.

It's been a while since I posted as I lost all interest in anything just lately.

My Daughter has been in a car accident. Thankfully she was not seriously hurt though god knows how, the car she was in was a right off. She was taken to hospital in an Ambulance but after XRays was allowed to come home, suffering whiplash and bruising.

(It was her birthday a few days later too, poor kid.)

Then the day after my Husband got a call from his partner. He'd just arrived at work to find they'd been broken into and had everything taken, not even a spanner left. Thirty years worth of equipment gone. They'd smashed through the roof, smashed the alarms and trashed the place.

I've never seen my Husband so crestfallen. For two pins I think he'd have walked away and not gone back.  Trying to make lists of things missing was a headache. It took a whole day just to sort out the invoices that had been thrown everywhere. Boy did I swear!!

What a shame they didn't fall off the roof .

2014 is turning out to be a c...p year so far.

Just not enouigh hours in the day!!!

Hello all you fab crafters and a special hi to my new followers. Here I am trying to catch myself up again, it's like being on a treadmill and getting nowhere fast!!

 

Just when I thought life was slowing down some from Christmas, my eldest Daughter decided she would like to buy a house and be independent.

Great...... but for the fact that Mum and Dad have to pay the deposit and probably work till midnight every night decorating, pulling down walls, replacing bathrooms and then relinquish all the furniture from our house that she has her eye on!!!!!

And on top of that, as happy as I have always said I would be for her to make a mess in her own place, I really feel so sad about her moving out, (and quite teary if truth be told) How many of you out there have felt this way too I wonder.

Then my baby turned 21, oh where have the years gone. Doesn't seem so long ago when I was pushing her on a swing in our back garden.

So not had too much time for crafting, there's dust on my table would you believe.

Singing In The Rain (as it water's the flowers)

Hi all, hope you're all well.

Well hasn't the last week been great, seeing the sunshine has really been more like spring if only the wind would die down.

This posting is a little late as I've been to Harrogate at the craft show. I really didn't want to go (ha ha ) but my friend insisted, oh and she's sooooo persuasive.!!

We had a lovely day and although I didn't need anything I sure came home with a bag full of goodies, can't wait for a play with them now.

Week 3 Fahionista - Shabby Chic.

Hi al, hope everyone is well.

Well after months of worry and tests my Daughter has been given the all clear.  She has extra heartbeats and has been having pains in her chest and has passed out several times.

She has low blood pressure, which is causing the fainting but it seems more fluid each day should sort that out, antibiotics for the Bronchitis and hopefully things should improve no end.

And she's the one that has never had anything wrong with her, it's my other Daughter that has all the problems!!

Kids... who'd have 'em!!!

We've just purchased a treadmill too cos we've all decided we need to improve our health and stamina.

OMG.. when we got it home it was too big to go in through the door!!

So it's been set up in the garage.

It's a fair thing and of course hubby had to have the first go. He started to walk at a steady pace with a smug smile on his face, so a few taps on the speed soon stopped that.... ha ha.. never seen his little legs run so fast, my Daughter  had to push him from behind to stop him from flying off the back.!!!..

So funny.. nick named him road runner

Hi all, my it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things. I just don't know where the time goes but I did manage to get into the craft room yesterday and I enjoyed myself.

But when I went to add my DT card I realised I had made it for the wrong theme, 'der' so off I went to make another.

Only Twelve More Sleeps.......

Hi everyone, hope all is well.  Getting closer to Mr Whiskers paying us a visit, I'm getting a bit giddy. Even though my girls have grown up we still enjoy the whole thing and it's so nice for us all to be at home together. We always get a game to play in the evening too although I haven't seen one yet so if anyone has any ideas let me know.

I'm Back

Hi everyone, seems like forever since I posted. Been in hospital so I couldn't sit to do any cards and then picked up a stomach bug, ...boo hoo.... that's me feeling sorry for myself!! Well I hope that's it now and can look forward to Christmas and it won't be long eh!!! Hope you're all ready (says me that's nowhere near.. ha ha)

There is one good thing though, my dog Roxy has come into season early so at least I won't have the same pantomime as last year ( for those of you who didn't see last years post,, my MIL was sat at my beautifully decorated table whilst the dogs were under the table having a party of their own.... so embarrassing, bet the Queens corgis don't behave like that...ha ha.)

Aren't we having strange weather. Yesterday the heavens opened and so much rain came down, the skies were  black it was like the middle of the night then about an hour later the sun was out shining like a summer's day...... weird!

And today the sun is still shining.
