Good morning to all, hope you are all well.
The weather has sure turned to Autumn here overnight. Cold, wet and very very windy. Won't need the car this morning, just stand at the top of the hill and I'll get blown into town!
Well another eventful week for me. I was on my way to work on Wednesday and it was throwing it down and I mean bouncing. I had pulled in behind traffic waiting to join the main road when BANG, I was hit from behind. I shot forward and my head shot backwards, Oh no!
I got out of the car to see the damage. It was a young girl. She wound down her window, stuck her head out and was shouting 'there's no damage, I can see from here' By this time my back and neck were starting to hurt (I have a back problem to start with) and there was no way I could get down to check underneath the car so as my hubby works just around the corner I gave him a call.
He came and checked and luckily there didn't seem to be any damage although I needed to check the electrics on the roof later(cabriolet) inside as it was still bucketing down.
But it was her parting comment which really made me shake my head
.
I didn't do it on purpose,It's not my fault, it's raining and my feet are slippy and slipped off the pedal!!!
OMG
must be my fault then for being in front of you and making you drive too fast in rain with wet feet in unsuitable shoes ...mmm
(me thinks I've been watching too much Judge Judy)
Since then the pain in my neck and back aint good and I've struggled at work cos I'm on my feet all day, so I'm hoping today it get's a little easier.
There was some slight damage to the bumper but my hubby has a garage so he's gonna do it for me.
How lucky was she (driving too fast to stop in awful rain) and how stupid!

ReplyDeleteI would definitely get your neck checked out I had a similar thing happen to me a few years back and gosh my neck was painful, a car came from a side road and didn't stop just hurtled straight at me, scared me to death and my poor Mum who was in the passenger seat. For today though I should get plenty of rest if I were you and get those nibbles ready for Downton Abbey :o)
Take care, hugs (Doctor) Teresa lol xx

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your accident and I do hope you are feeling better, how rude people can be, she should have given you her insurance details even if there wasn't damage and of course it was her fault,I get very angry about people like that if they can't drive safely they shouldn't be on the road and it sounds like she could do with a lesson in good manners too. Sorry rant over, I really hope your back and neck get better soon, it sounds like a bit of whiplash. Your card is stunning, I love the sweet image and the ribbon and die cuts are absolutely beautiful
