Good morning to all you lovely crafters. Another Friday has rolled around, where does the time go.
I had some birthday money to spend this week so I ordered some goodies from a shop I use quite a bit and eagerly awaited their arrival. And I waited and waited and nothing came so I emailed them.
I received a prompt reply to say they had definitely been despatched the following day and a receipt was obtained would I check with the post office and neighbours to see if someone had taken in the parcel. So I did and no to both counts. I was so disappointed. Makes you wonder where all these parcels mysteriously disappear to, obviously somewhere in the postal chain.
I emailed back after waiting another couple of days to say it hadn't turned up and bless her she says she will replace them. I'm on pins now till the next one arrives.
Just makes you wonder what's gonna happen when the Christmas presents start
being sent in the post, how many of those will go astray!
I will in future pay extra postage so I can track it.
I don't know if she will be covered for the cost of the parcel from the post office, I hope so.
OMG just sat here typing this post and my cat has shot across the room chasing a spider.....have to make sure she catches it lol.
It's another new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts and this week it's the turn of the lovely Wendy and her chosen theme is
'Cute and Girly'
This week's fabulous sponsor is
I got to use the lovely ' Honey'
and here is what I made, though I don't think I did her justice.
Think I'll have to try some different paper to print onto, this one doesn't like you to colour onto it hence the poop colouring,.
Recipe
Saturated Canary- Honey ain't she just adorable, coloured with distress inks and polychromos.
Papers-Nitwit, LOTV collection-Petal Fresh, Love 'em
Memory Box-Vintage bird cage and twig and berries
Magnolia-Fence die and heart tag
Martha Stewart-Heart border punch and bird punch
Tim Holtz-pine cone leaves
Corner embellishment-Melissa Frances
I stitched the papers and distressed them and inked the edges with Antique Linen.
Challenges
Be back later to visit you all.
Have a good day whatever your doing.
Hugs Sue X.

Hi Sue - re your postal problem, my hubby was waiting for an envelope which he had been told he would have to sign for (it contained some gift cards). He saw the chap drive up this morning and get out of his car with one of those electronic signature gizmos in his hand. He went to the front door expecting him to request a signature and all he did was pop the envelope through the letterbox - no signature requested. It really makes you wonder!
ReplyDeleteAnyway - must also tell you that I think your card is really charming and the colours are so gorgeous. Love the bird cage!
Hugs Sue Pxxx

ReplyDeleteHope your parcel arrives ok and soon...I could not believe it when I went out to do the school run and found the parcel you sent me sitting by our front door for all to see and I had been in all day, so lucky no one had taken it.
Hugs Wendy xx

PS - We are, touch wood, very lucky here with parcels they are very rarely lost. It helps that we've had the same postman all the time we've lived here (11 yrs)- he knows the best times to catch us in and where to leave parcels for us to find them!! He's also a volunteer fireman!!!
What a beautifully created card. Just love the coloring and the LO.
