Good morning all and hello to Penny who has just joined me and welcome.
I can't believe how bad the weather is. I was so saddened this morning when I read that a young woman of 21 had died after being trapped, how awful. Having a daughter of 21 myself my heart goes out to the family.
Well I braved Christmas shopping yesterday. I went to Meadowhall in Sheffield. We arrived just as it was opening and the car park was full, not a good sign. My daughter had a list of places she wanted to go so off we went in search of them.
First stop was the Apple store as she had a problem with her I pod which as it turned out was major so it meant a replacement, soo could I lend her the £200+ till payday mmmm!
Then off to River Island for a jumper for her sister. Not sure which to get her, she settled on one for herself....... so off we went to Bank, cos there may be one in there. Wow, there was this fab dress for her... but no jumpers for sis!
Then to Primark. No nothing in there but I could get her some Pj's.
So... a few other places and back to the car with lots of bags for her, one pair of Pj's and I managed to spend up with nothing to show for it.. and I got clobbered with petrol and the food bill... Oh I sure come in handy.
I have decided I hate Christmas shopping, I can't stand being pushed and shoved and waiting to pay in a queue for over 10 mins that gets closed down just as you get to it, then for the till roll to run out at the next one and have to wait for someone to change it, then for the alarm to go off as you leave the store cos the tags been left on and you have to return to the till to get it removed......
My husband said 'I've been telling you for years woman that I hate it, now you know how I felt when you dragged me around year after year!'
So I am poised with my laptop and am going to order all pressies on line!!!!
Today sees the start of another Challenge at Songbird and the song is 'Deeper Shade Of Blue'
Our fab sponsor for this fortnight is Joanna Sheen
And there is a £10 voucher up for grabs for the lucky winner, who will be chosen at random! So what are you waiting for ..
