Good morning to you all, hope you are all well.
As some of you who visited before will remember I had an appointment to see the Consultant with my Daughter and boy was I lookng forward to it. I sat and wrote down everything I could remember that had gone wrong or been messed up on since the journey began and I had cramp when I finished.
I went in armed with a four page A4 letter. He was not pleased to say the least, arguing that his Department had done all it could etc etc, didn't want the letter to read and wasn't really interested in me telling him either..... but I wasn't going to be put off...... so on I went and at one point was asked to stop shouting!!! 'Believe me this is not shouting'..., you're saying I'd know when you were, 'Oh yes'.
Well the upshot is that at last we are moving forward. I know my Daughter is ill and all I want is her to be back to her bright sunnny self and for us to know what is wrong with her.
We are waiting for a CT scan she has been given some medication to help and is being refetterd to another specialist so I really don't care if they all thinks I'm nuts... just do your damned job.
She still has a way to go but at least we know now that they are taking notice and I won't be letting them forget about her any day soon!!
Just a note to let you know too that if your Grand Calibur handle drops off you cannot purchase a replacement. I emailed Spellbinders and have had a reply to say they will replace it free of charge via their representative in England. I'm chuffed to little mint balls!! In the meantime my dear Hubby has done a sterling job of fixing it so at least I can use it,. don't know how long it will last but fingers crossed. Just have to wait for the replacement now.
My card today peeps is for Songbird. The theme for this fortnight is
'Sixteen going on Seventeen'
So we want to see your age themed cards.
Our lovely sponsor is Joanna Sheen.
Recipe
LOTV-Party Girl, coloured with distress markers. She is such a cutie and I love that you can add any age to the balloon, then stitched pearls around the edge/
Papers are Nit-Wit collection from LOTV, County Gent.
Lace-by Ruby Rock-It-August Moon, I add a little glue to the ends after cutting as when it dries it prevents it from fraying, stiffens it a little too.
Tag-Whimsy, Elegant Noteables Tag 1, Sentiment LOTV.
Flowers WOC
Leaves- Martha Stewart punch
Tuille bow then added pearls and pearl brad.
Challenges
one stitch at a time - make it girly

ReplyDeleteWell done for standing your ground and hopefully your daughter will be better looked after. The NHS has really gone to hell in a handcart now. Constultants seam to have some sort of god complex, some of them anyway.
Send a copy of your letter to the Patient's Council, they need to be told about such dreadful service. Take care, kate x
