Just not enouigh hours in the day!!!

Hello all you fab crafters and a special hi to my new followers. Here I am trying to catch myself up again, it's like being on a treadmill and getting nowhere fast!!

Just when I thought life was slowing down some from Christmas, my eldest Daughter decided she would like to buy a house and be independent.
Great...... but for the fact that Mum and Dad have to pay the deposit and probably work till midnight every night decorating, pulling down walls, replacing bathrooms and then relinquish all the furniture from our house that she has her eye on!!!!!
And on top of that, as happy as I have always said I would be for her to make a mess in her own place, I really feel so sad about her moving out, (and quite teary if truth be told) How many of you out there have felt this way too I wonder.
Then my baby turned 21, oh where have the years gone. Doesn't seem so long ago when I was pushing her on a swing in our back garden.
So not had too much time for crafting, there's dust on my table would you believe.

It's time for a new challenge over at

and the theme for the next two weeks is

Spring

with our fabulous sponsor

who doesn't love this store
So many wonderful things to spend your voucher on

My card is one I made a while ago and didn't post but it fits this theme, though I'm not really happy about it as I prefer to use my distress inks for colouring now, my copic colouring leaves a lot of room for improvement.

Have to add details later cos it's going to take me a while to find them.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs Sue Xx.

  2. This is gorgeous Sue. I love the Tilda and you have created such a beautiful scene around her.
All our girls (3) have left home. Two of them were my step children and I had a hard time bringing them up as they rebelled at everything I said to them so it was a relief when they left home to be honest. They are very different with me now though and the youngest is so apologetic about how she treated me. When my daughter left, I cried buckets and missed her no end. Now though, I love it just being Russ and myself. You will get used to it in time and it makes the times you are together so special when you meet up.
    Have a lovely week.
    Hugs Sharon. x

  4. Fab card, Sue! Love the beautiful sunny colour scheme! Your colouring looks great to me!
It's always hard to adjust when one of your children flies the nest, but if my experience is anything to go by they keep coming back!! Usually departing again with something belonging to me... think they're making a 'home from home'!

  6. Yes, it is always gut-wrenching when your oldest moves out--and when it is your only child, it makes it that much harder! :^)
Wow, this seems a departure from your usual designs, but it is no less fabulous! I love the sweet scene you created with the window, love your coloring & color palette & fab details! Another winner, Sue! :^)
